Farewell Caribbean!

Today this particular part of the Ocean has a reputation of being “angry.” Thankfully it’s a bit milder than usual. However, as I am packing in my cabin a constant rocking followed by a spontaneous ‘over the porthole splash’ reminds me of our fall Atlantic Crossing. Now that was a few days of a “furious” ocean! (25 foot seas and 50+ Gale Force winds at it’s peak!) Now we’ve left Caribbean Sea behind us and are making our way up to Fort Lauderdale and prepare for the 9 day crossing back over to Europe. I’m glad to be going home and not part of that transition this time, but I think I’ll miss falling asleep to sounds of the water outside my porthole…
